Postdoctoral position at the Leibniz Institute for Baltic Sea Research Warnemünde

The IOW offers postdoctoral positions to support researchers refine their own scientific profiles within the thematic scope of the research programme “Perspectives of Coastal Seas”. In addition, the IOW advises postdocs on applying for positions funded by the DFG, BMFTR and the EU (e.g. DFG Emmy Noether Group, Leibniz Junior Research Group or Marie Skłodowska Curie Actions).

The IOW organises annual training courses, for example on writing grant applications, as part of a Skills Week for PhD candidates and postdocs. Participation in mentoring programmes and in courses offered by the Leibniz Academy for Leadership Development of the Leibniz Association is supported by the Institute’s management.

PostdocPlus representatives and a PostdocPlus network are active at the IOW. These bring together postdocs in the early stages of their careers (R2 phase) as well as established researchers (R3 phase) who are on fixed-term contracts.
