Expertise
As a coastal biogeochemist, I study trace gases and carbon dynamics in coastal marine systems. As part of the SeaStoreBaltic project, I investigate how ecosystem restoration affects biogeochemical processes and greenhouse gas fluxes, linking material fluxes and tracers to the carbon cycle.
My areas of expertise also include marine CDR, in particular enhanced silicate weathering in coastal areas, and the assessment of its biogeochemical impacts. I combine sensor-based measurements, data analysis, and scientific diving to study carbon and trace gas dynamics directly in the field.
