Als Küstenbiogeochemiker befasse ich mich mit Spurengasen und Kohlenstoffdynamik in Küstenmeersystemen. Im Rahmen des SeaStoreBaltic-Projekts untersuche ich, wie sich die Wiederherstellung von Ökosystemen auf biogeochemische Prozesse und Treibhausgasflüsse auswirkt, wobei ich Stoffflüsse und Tracer mit dem Kohlenstoffkreislauf in Verbindung bringe.
Zu meinen Fachgebieten gehören auch marine CDR, insbesondere die verstärkte Silikatverwitterung in Küstengebieten, und die Bewertung ihrer biogeochemischen Auswirkungen. Ich kombiniere sensorbasierte Messungen, Datenanalyse und wissenschaftliches Tauchen, um die Kohlenstoff- und Spurengasdynamik direkt vor Ort zu untersuchen.
