Within the research project, an existing ultra-high-resolution version of the GETM (General Estuarine Transport Model) for the Greifswald Bay is used. By improving our process-level understanding of the interplay between turbulence, bottom friction, light penetration, and nutrient inputs in the Greifswald Bay, we can better determine which areas are suitable for long-term seagrass growth.
