Access to Model Results

Model results produced at IOW are available on the following two servers:

• The Hyrax server is the newer one.
• The Thredds server is the older one and contains more datasets. These will later be integrated into the Hyrax server.

Both servers provide data through the OpenDAP interface, which allows processing with any software that supports the standard NetCDF format. Data can be downloaded, though this is usually unnecessary (some datasets are several terabytes in size).

Visualization of Model Results

An interactive visualization of some of these model results is available on our Live Access Server (LAS), where results can be displayed as maps, vertical sections, and more.
