Workpackage 1 - Time series stations

Concepts and tasks:

Instrumentation in the challenging environment of the surf zone is the prerequisite for all the planned work. WP1 is in charge of ensuring the technical implementation and faces the important challenge of providing safely the technical equipment in this shallow on a long-term basis.

Major tasks are reliable provision of basic physical, biological, and chemical in-situ parameters which supports campaign-based sampling of the remaining work packages. Different types of coastal zones should be covered by a network of these newly developed time series stations.
