Welcome to the pages of Marine Measurement Technology at the IOW. Here you will find information on the interdisciplinary tasks and competencies, as well as the structural organization of the working group.
Marine measurement technology at the IOW is based on two pillars:
1) Basic Measurement Technology
Conception, development, and application of innovative basic measurement technology, specially adapted to the conditions of the Baltic Sea, for all scientific departments of the IOW, carried out by a dedicated Marine Measurement Technology working group.
2) Special Developments
Special developments by specialist groups within the institute's sections, making use of the Marine Measurement Technology working group's infrastructure, and their joint transfer into operational use, e.g. within the base systems.
Working Lines to fulfill the assigned tasks and requirements, the Measurement Technology working group is organized into 5 working lines.
