Ahmed Nbiga

I am a PhD student in marine chemistry investigating microplastics abundance in marginal seas.

I currently work on samples collected from sediment trap in the South China Sea to quantify microplastic fluxes, characterize polymer composition, and resolve seasonal variability in particle delivery through the water column.

I also work on trace metals in the South China Sea, focusing on identifying trace metals that occur in excess, their origin and transport pathways, and how they associate with sinking particles.
