Expertise
I am a PhD student in physical oceanography working on water mass transformation processes in the Skagerrak. The DFG project SkaMixWMT combines numerical modeling with observations to understand the region from both perspectives. As the connection between the Baltic Sea and the North Sea, the Skagerrak is characterized by multiple water masses and complex water mass transformation processes. Within an international consortium of 30 scientists from 11 different institutes across five countries, we work closely together. In this context, I am responsible for the numerical modeling using the General Estuarine Transport Model (GETM).
Additionally, I am an associated member of the Research Training Group of the TRR 181 Energy transfers in Atmosphere and Ocean.
